Happy Birthday to our baby girl. Hard to believe we no longer have a toddler. She is such a smiley girl. She makes us laugh everyday. We had a great Birthday party for her yesterday. It was great seeing her enjoying playing with her friends.

Slacker

I realize I have been a blog slacker. With the invention of Facebook I find I am updating this less. I will try to keep up with it better.
Things are going well here. We are in the middle of Spring Sports. This mean crazy busy meals and shuttling kids to practices 4 nights and week with soccer games on Saturdays. We are looking forward to the laid back schedule June will bring when school lets out.

Wow it was so hot here today. We decided to break out the slip n slide! The kids had a blast. Only one injury. Jade bruised her hip. I was tempted to dive on it myself but it warned against it. LOL

A lesson in Saving Money

At the beginning of the summer we decided to teach the kids a lesson about money. Each day they were given chores to do and if the completed them each day without complaining on Friday they would be rewarded with $2.00. It doesn't sound like much but with 3 kids that translates into $6.00 a week.
We started by giving each of them three jars. We labeled one savings, one charity and one spending. Each week they divided there $2.00 as follows:
$1.00 Savings
.50 Spending
.50 Charity
What amazed me is how excited they were to see there money grow. They are all making plans for there charity which is neat to hear there plans. I have heard mention taking toys to children in the hospital or giving pet toys to an animal shelter.

Kindergarten

I can't Believe Brynn started Kindergarten today.
She was so excited. She wanted to start earlier in the week with the big kids but they didn't start till today.
She has her own sense of style. I know she is going to give them a run for there money.

Jade and Ryan started school today. I can't believe that I have a second grader and now a fourth grader. I love how excited they get to dress in there new school clothes. Everyone got out of bed without a fight and we were at school early. Of course I know this will not be everyday. LOL

Brynn was in the bathroom getting ready for her shower when Chris hears her singing and starts laughing. He tells me to come listen to her so we both open up the door and she is sitting stark naked singing...
"I feel, I feel, I feel like the morning star, I feel I feel like the morning star"

Well I lost it and I say to Chris no more like the moon. LOL. He looks at me and says no that wasn't the best part. Before he could get the rest of the story out Brynn starts sining again.

"Shoe fly don't bother me, shoe fly don't bother me, or I will call somebody."

Well I almost peed myself laughing and the harder I laughed the more she sang.
Oh I just love the excitement Brynn brings to our household. He He.

Elizabethown Fair

We took the kids to the petting zoo at the fair today. The big kids loved holding the bunnies. Kylee was so excited to get to pet the goats and the cows. We are returning to the fair tomorrow night for the ride for one price deal. The kids are looking forward to it.

Barnstormers Game

We took the kids to a Barnstormers game last night. Usually this is a daddy and kiddos outing but I decided to join them this year. They were very well behaved. There were even fireworks after the game which everyone loved. Kylee was afraid of Cylo but kept looking for him throughout the game.

I don't know what I am the most excited about I am going to have a new sister in law, my brother is the happiest I have ever seen him and oh yes the chance that I will have little nieces and nephews to spoil. Oh and the wedding! Can you tell I am a little excited.

Temporary Custody

We have officially been awarded temporary custody of my Brother Ryan. He is adjusting well but refuses to talk to our mom. Please continue prayers for him. He has been through a lot in his short 9 years.

My 9 year old Brother Ryan will be coming to stay with us for awhile until Mom can get her life in order. We are filing for temporary custody being she is not cooperating. We need lots of prayers as we all adjust to the change.

Oh man was it hot this weekend. We attended T-Ball and Brynn's soccer game Saturday morning where we almost melted. LOL. Then Jade attended a swim Birthday Party at her Best Friend's house. It felt so refreshing to jump in.
Then today we all went to the local swimming pool for Jade's end of the year Brownie celebration. We all had a blast. Kylee just loves the water.

Pickin Berries

Brynn's Post Op

Brynn had her follow up doctor appointment today and they are still seeing fluid behind he right ear drum. So now she is on a week of drops in the ear and then back to see Dr. B in two weeks. We will also have her hearing retested then. She was able to get her ear pugs and swim headband so she is excited about that.

I am so proud of me. I have stuck with my weight loss trek. Reprograming my mind has been tough but I am on a way to a healthier me. I have been walking on my treadmill at least 5 days a week and it feels great!

My moms group is doing a Couples weight loss challenge. I think I am really serious this time about getting in shape. We got a treadmill and I have been walking on it everyday and eating healthier. It is only week one and I lost 4 pounds.

We were blessed with weather in the 60's today. Brynn and Kylee were able to enjoy swinging for awhile. Makes me wish for spring. But like any good northerner knows there is sure to be snow on the way. That is what you get when you live where we live. You can have unseasonably warm temps one day and snow the next.

We went downtown tonight where they were having a Family celebration in E-Town tonight. It was great they dropped an M&M at 7:00 P.M. so the kids could enjoy it. We had a blast. I woke up feeling like I got run over by a truck and someone was sitting on my chest. A sinus infection I am sure. Of course since my hubby went to church without me there were a million and one questions to where the kids and I were? Lucky for me they behaved well and Chris was very understanding as to me not feeling well. Oh well I am just hoping I feel better by the time we leave for our Texas trio next week.

1st Grade

WOW hard to believe my baby is headed off to 1st grade today. We took her to school and waited outside with her. The moment I saw her go into the building I started crying. Of course Chris gave me a big hug and said, "She'll be fine"
My response to him was
"Oh I know she will be fine, I'm worried about me."
Our little girl is so independent but I already miss that sweet little girl that has depended on her momma for so much tese last 6 years.

I can't believe I am 30 today. I remember as a kid 30 seemed so old to me. I don't feel much different other then not feeling like I am "cool" anymore.

Brynn managed to hurt herslef while trying to help cook dinner yesterday. She dropped a kitchen stool onto her left big toe and it was not a pretty site. Lots of Blood! Lots of tears from Jade that is since she can't handle the sight of blood. LOL. Brynn was a trooper when we took her to the doctors today. She did not fuss or cry once when the doctor wa slooking at it. I on the other hand was ready to pass out. It turns out she not only poped up the toe nail but the nail bed also. She has a chance of loosing her nail forever. This one will fall off in about 1-2 weeks. The doctor is hoping the nail bed will reattatch itself. Until then Brynn's foot needs to be bandaged everyday and she will need to wear a slipper over it to help protect it and keep it warm.

Jade got her ears pierced

We are so proud of Jade. She wanted her ears pierced so bad even though she was a little nervous. she did it with only a few tears. Jade choose to have her ears pierced with her birthstone. They make her look so grown up.
After she was done Brynn informed us it will be 7 days till she gts hers done.

Kylee Reese Trovinger arrived on December 4 at 9:48 A.M. Things went great. To say it was a quick labor would be an understatment. They broke my water at 9:46 A.M. and she arrived two minutes later.

36 Weeks and Growing

I had my 36 week appointment today. How am I possible 36 weeks?! Only 4 weeks to go. AHHHH! My appointment went great. I am only measuring about a week over now so that was reasuring. The midwife felt my belly and said the baby seems to be around 8 lbs so she is predicting a big baby. Hmm never heard that before. LOL. The girls are getting very excited and we still have alot to do to prepare. I am feeling pretty good. One day I have lots of energy the next I am tired. Slowly checking stuff my to do list which feels great.

TCU Game

We got to go to see a TCU game finally! Wade played in New York on Saturday against Army. We left Saturday morning for the four hour drive. The girls did great in the car and at the game. Jade was into it but Brynn got a little bored. It was so amazing to be there and see the sights and sounds.
We got to spend a little time with Wade after the game chatting and taking pics before it was time for the bus to head to the airport.

Missouri Trip

We got back from a week long trip to Missouri last night. We had a great time but it was hard to leave. Lots of great memories were made and lots of pictures taken. If you would like to see the pictures click on the Missouri Trip title at the top of the entry.
We did lots of fun stuff like riding 4 wheelers, a trip to Branson to ride the Ducks, Eureka Springs for shopping, Boating on the lake and lots of bonding time for grandpa and the girls.

Jade had her first Game today and she did great! She got to score which was awesome. I did have to tell her about pushing. LOL. I guess she takes after me. I asked her why she was pushing and she told me she was just trying to get the ball. I had to explain to her we are only allowed to use our feet to kick the ball. She did wear out towards the end but all in all had a good game.

Weekend away

Chris and I had a much needed weekend away this weekend while the girls stayed with Grandma and Pappy. It was the first time we went away just the two of us in five years. We went up to the cabin in Huntigton county. We got to sleep in , check out a neat little shop and eat out at an old fashioned little diner. We missed the girls and were so glad to see them when we got home.

Jade's first Soccer Practice

Well the day Jade has been waiting for finally arrived today. her first soccer practice! She had a blast. And I must say she is pretty good. LOL. She is already asking how many days to her next practice.

Jade did so well today. We are so proud of her. She is in the 97% for height (48") and weight (54 lbs). She did great with her hearing an eye test. When it came time for her 3 shots she didn't shed a tear.

Lake tobias

We spent the day at Lake Tobias today and had a great time.
You get to go on a safari ride on these buses that have the top half removed. The animals came right up and were eating out of our hands. There was a petting zoo with baby goats, camels, pigs and sheep. The girls really enjoyed it.

It is about an hour and a half away but well worth the drive.

23 Weeks

Nothing to eventfull. I am measuring 5 weeks ahead but no big shock. I measured ahead with both the girls. It usually slows down by the end. If not they'll want to do another ultrasound which I will probally refuse.

I get the joy of going for my glocuse test next month when I have my appointment on September 11th.

The heartbeat was 150.

21 Week Ultrasound

Everything went great. Baby is measuring right on track for everything. This baby is so active. The tech had a hard time getting any good pics but she did give me two. She said it was good I didn't want to know the sex because the baby wasn't coperating. She said oh the head is down and Jade says, "Oh good that is the position it needs to be." It totally floored the tech and she giggled and said "Yes you are right." The heartrate was 151 BPM

Hershey Park Happy

Today was Chris's work picnic at Hersheypark. We had such an awesome day. We got there around 11 and stayed till 8:30 P.M. The girls loved the rides and were so well behaved all day. They both passed out in the car on the way home.

19 Weeks

We are almost half way there.
Got to hear the heartbeat again today and it was around 144 beats per minute. It is neat to see the girls so excited.
We have ar eUS on July 24th but will not be finding out the sex.

14 Weeks!

I had my labs done today. 5 viles of blood! Yuck.My appointment went well. Grandma went with and got to hear the heartrate. It was around 150. It was the most quiet I have heard Brynn in weeks. She just stood there listening and staring at my belly. Esther let her listen to her heartbeat wich was so cool. I haven't been getting sick as much. But my acid reflux is really starting to kick in.I have my next appointment July 10th and my US July 24th. We will NOT be finding out the sex.

BIG NEWS!!!!

Well some of you already know the big news and for others it will come as quite a shock! We found out I am PREGNANT! Yep you read it right! Baby #3 will be making its grand entrance sometime around December 5th. All is going well other then being extremly exhausted. Here is the ultrasound pic from today confirming all is well. The girls are very excited.

Jade lost her first tooth!

It seemd like only yesterday Chris and I were celebrating the arrival of Jade's first tooth. Well tonight we celebrated her loosing her first tooth. It was bittersweet. She was so excited she was crying. She lost it around 8:30 P.M. so Chris was at work so she decided to wait to put it out for the tooth fairy tomorrow night after daddy sees it in the morning.

I just had the best day today. I spent the day with a dear friend and really enjoyed myself. The girls played so nicely and before I knew it I was late coming home for dinner. LOL. Lucky for me Chris is such an understanding hubby. Both girls fell asleep the instant there heads hit the pillow. They must have worn themselves out today.

The day started off not so great. Today was pet day at Jade's school. Well school got cancelled due to the threat of ice. Jade was upset.
I decided to take the girls shopping and out to lunch. We started off at Redner's, then off to Gap clerance where they helped me shop for a b-day present. Then I took them out for lunch at Bob Evans where they made me proud. Our last stop was Target. I let them each pick something from the Dollar Spot. Brynn picked out a stamp set and my Little Miss Hollywood picked out Green sun glasses so she can look famous. She wore them the rest of the day dispite the rainy weather we had all day. They were angels and I really enjoyed both of them so much today.

I want to be famous.

Jade was getting dressed this morning and picked out her jean with a hole in the knee. Chris pointed it out to her and she said "I know daddy. That is how famous singers dress" She just cracks me up. The child just loves to sing. That she gets from her daddy and not me by any chance. LOL.

We had a house full of people all weekend celebrating Brynn's Birthday.
And I can honestly say I wasn't stressed at all. I so enjoyed everyone and the geniune friendships I have formed. I just was gushing when I tucked the kids in to go to sleep. They were so happy and exhausted and were out like lights is less then 10 minutes.

Roller Derby

We took the girls roller skating for the first time last night. They both had a blast untill Jade fell. Only 30 minutes left till we were done and she totally wiped out. We had to take her to the emergency room this morning because she was in such horrible pain. It turns out she had a spained elbow. Just glad it wasn't broke. Here are some pics of them enjoying skating.

The girls had dance today at church.
Jade is not to sure she likes it but does so well at it. I told her she needs to finish out this time and then she can decide if she wants to stay in it. They are dividing the girls up into two groups in March and Jade will go to the advanced class. Pastor J says Brynn distracts Jade. LOL. Brynn is having so much fun with it being the true carefree spirit she is.

We had such a lovely day at are house today.
I made Pink Chocolate chip smile pancakes for breakfast. Chris brought home a ballon for each of the girls that sings "Your the one that I want" from Grease. They just loved them. I got a potted Daisey.
Then the girls and I spent the afternoon crafting valentines for Daddy.
For dinner we ate by Candlelight which the girls thought was so cool. We had Fried shrimp, chili potato wedges, salad and a cake that we all made together.
All in all a good day. I feel so fortunate to be so loved.

We were blessed with around 10 inches of snow last night. Chris and I took the kids sledding at Grammy's. Jade and Daddy built a snowman. We had a blast!

Jade and I rooted on the steelers to a victory tonight. Poor Chris really wanted the Sea Hawks to win. I went to school with Dan Kreider on the steelers so it was nice to see him win.

My friend M called today and asked if I would mind watching 2 of 3 of her little boys today while she went to the doctors. Well the girls had a blast with the boys P (5yrs) and M (soon to be 1 yr) They had fun sharing there toys and it was fun watching them all play so well together.

Ikea

I went to Ikea with a group of Mommy friends today and had a super time.
I think it was the first time I have been away from the kids for an entire day. I had a great time. I bought the kids a wardrobe for there dress-up clothing
I also bought myself a really neat organizer for over my stove.Chris was very happy to see me when I got home. LOL. he spent the day with out friend C and his little boy W. They had a nice day of daddy bonding with the kids. They tried to go to Hershey Chocolate World but the ride was closed for construction.

I had a chocolate lovers Pampered Chef Party tonight with about a dozen friends. We had a blast drinking chocolate martini's and enjoying yummy chocolate desserts. Here was my favorite one of the night.

DOUBLE CHOCOLATE MOCHA TRIFLE
Cake-like brownie chunks nestle between layers of creamy mocha pudding and crunchy toffee bits. This is one of the easiest and most delicious desserts you’ll ever make.
1 pkg. (19.8 oz) fudge brownie mix
1 ¾ cups cold milk
2 pkgs (3.4 oz. EACH) white chocolate instant pudding and pie filling
¼ cup warm water
4 teaspoons instant coffee granules
1 pkg. (8 oz) whipped topping
3 toffee bars (1.5 oz each) (SKOR, HEATH, etc.)

Prepare Brownie Mix and bake in 9x13 Baker according to package directions for cake-like brownies. Cool completely. Using plastic knife, cut into 1 inch cubes. Whisk pudding mix with milk. Dissolve coffee granules into warm water, add to pudding mixture, mixing well. Fold in whipped topping. Chop toffee bars. Layer 1/3 brownie cubes onto bottom of Chillzanne® Bowl. Top with 1/3 pudding, and 1/3 toffee pieces. Repeat two more times. Chill 30 minutes before serving.
